LG has unveiled its new lineup of soundbars for 2024. The new range includes models with a wireless Dolby Atmos connection, providing a complete at-home entertainment experience.

The three new models are the S95TR, SG10TY, and S70TY, although pricing and availability are yet to be announced. All of LG’s new soundbars are compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with the S95TR and SG10TY also able to stream Atmos wirelessly from LG TVs.

In addition, all three models include the WOW interface, allowing users to adjust sound settings directly from the TV, as well as LG AI Room Calibration to analyze and enhance the acoustics of the room.

The flagship S95TR model boasts 15 channels, with five up-firing channels, including the industry’s first up-firing center speaker. This feature is designed to make dialogue sound as if it’s coming out of the TV screen.

On the other hand, the SG10TY is specifically designed to match the width and frame colors of LG OLED TVs. It also includes Wi-Fi music streaming from Tidal and Spotify.

Lastly, the S70TY soundbar features a simple and compact design and also includes an up-firing center speaker. It also offers a dedicated bracket for flush-mounting to QNED TVs.

The standout feature of the new soundbar range is the wireless Dolby Atmos connection, which is a feature that LG’s main competitor, Samsung, has been offering for a couple of years. However, in CNET’s tests of Samsung’s Q990C, it was found that the wireless connection does not always work, even with TVs that are supposed to be compatible.

Attendees at CES 2024 can expect a closer look at LG’s new soundbar range. LG will likely provide more details on pricing and availability at the event, along with demonstrations of the impressive new features. With the announcement of its 2024 soundbar range, LG is once again at the forefront of at-home entertainment technology, providing users with a complete and immersive audio experience.
