Manchester City continued their successful year by securing a 3-0 victory over Fluminense in the Club World Cup final. Julian Alvarez found the back of the net just 40 seconds into the game, setting the tone for City’s dominant performance.

Despite a penalty scare for City when Ederson conceded a penalty for tripping German Cano, the decision was quickly overturned due to an offside flag and a successful VAR check, giving City a sigh of relief.

Phil Foden then doubled City’s advantage with an own goal from Fluminense’s Nino, transforming the game back into City’s favor after the penalty scare.

While a comfortable victory seemed on the horizon for City, fans were left worried when Rodri suffered a nasty injury on the pitch. Despite being forced off the field due to his injury, Foden managed to secure a goal for himself with an assist from Alvarez.

Alvarez then capped off the game with his second goal, tying the record for the biggest victory in a Club World Cup final. Despite City pushing for a fifth goal, it wasn’t meant to be, as they secured a 3-0 win over Fluminense to claim the trophy.

After the final whistle, fans took to social media to express their joy and pride in Manchester City’s triumph in the Club World Cup, celebrating the team’s success and the addition of another trophy to their collection.
