With just a month left until the Republican Party Iowa Caucus, former President Donald Trump has maintained his position as the top choice for likely GOP voters in Iowa. On Dec. 11, Selzer & Co. released a recent poll conducted on behalf of The Des Moines Register, NBC News, and Mediacom Communications Corp. The survey revealed that 51 percent of likely Republican caucusgoers would choose President Trump as their first choice, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis trailing significantly behind at 19 percent, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley at 16 percent, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy at 5 percent, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 4 percent.

The poll by Selzer & Co. included 502 likely Republican caucusgoers and had a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points. It was conducted from Dec. 2 to Dec. 7. Another Iowa poll, published on Dec. 6 by The Trafalgar Group, also showed President Trump leading by a significant margin, with 45.3 percent support. This poll surveyed 1,091 likely caucusgoers between Dec. 1 and Dec. 4, with Mr. DeSantis, Ms. Haley, Mr. Ramaswamy, and Mr. Christie trailing behind.

A national poll conducted by The Wall Street Journal, GBAO, and Fabrizio Lee indicated similar results, with President Trump leading by 59 percent for the GOP’s presidential nomination, followed by Ms. Haley, Mr. DeSantis, Mr. Ramaswamy, and Mr. Christie.

With just five weeks left before the Iowa Caucus, all major Republican Party candidates—except Mr. Christie—are making a significant push with numerous visits to the Hawkeye State. However, Iowa is only the beginning of the Republican primary season. New Hampshire’s primary will take place on Jan. 23, followed by GOP primaries in Nevada on Feb. 8 and in South Carolina on Feb. 24.

As of Dec. 11, President Trump has filled his schedule with trips to Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. He is set to visit Coralville, Iowa, on Dec. 13, followed by Durham, New Hampshire, on Dec. 16, and Reno, Nevada, on Dec. 17. He will return to Iowa on Dec. 19 with a stop in Waterloo.

Mr. DeSantis is focusing on Iowa, with plans to visit Bettendorf on Dec. 18. Meanwhile, Ms. Haley’s campaign is shifting its focus to the Granite State, with scheduled stops in Manchester on Dec. 12, Newport and Keene on Dec. 13, and Atkinson on Dec. 14. Mr. Ramaswamy is expected to head to both Iowa and New Hampshire in the coming weeks, with 33 campaign stops between Dec. 11 and Dec. 16, mostly in Iowa. Mr. Christie, who has spent most of his time in New Hampshire, is anticipated to hold an event in Londonderry on Dec. 13.
