Nursing unions around the world file UN complaint over vaccine patent exemption

“Given the severely limited access to COVID-19 drugs, diagnostics and vaccines needed to save lives, it is indeed demoralizing that some governments are opposing initiatives such as the TRIPS exemptions, which are available for low and middle income families. But it can have such a positive impact. Countries are well equipped to deal with this pandemic,” Reveca Papadopoulou, president of the Doctors Without Borders operational center in Geneva, said in a statement.
